Six Pillars Century: 2020
COVID-19 Update - 3/16/2020
We here at Character Counts Mid Shore, are aware of the COVID-19 crisis that is sweeping our nation and have been actively speaking with Health Officers and the Department of Emergency Management on a daily basis, in regards to its potential impact on our event.
On 3/15/2020 the Center For Disease Control made the recommendation that all events, over 50 people, be canceled or postponed for the next eight (8) weeks. The Governor of Maryland, in an Executive Order on 3/16/2020, enacted this guideline as a part of the State of Maryland's COVID-19 response plan.
Based on the Governor's order, the event, in its current iteration, has been postponed to later in the 2020 calendar year. We are working with our local community and law enforcement partners to be able to secure the date and we will let you know as soon as we can.
At this current time we ask for your patience as we explore what options that we can give to you, the rider. We are working to make this to absolute best situation that we can, all while being able to maintain services to our community. Your support of the Six Pillars Century has been a large part of that.
Please be safe, take necessary precautions, and above all, embrace our Six Pillars of Character (Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring and Citizenship).
Please direct all inquiries to SixPillarsCentury@gmail.com and keep an eye out for an upcoming email with options.

Our highly trained volunteers, called Character Coaches, reach over 8,500 children each year in 26 schools with age-appropriate lessons based on the Six Pillars of Character: Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring, and Citizenship. The continuous support from all of our wonderful riders enable us to continue to guide our youth on a path towards good character and positive life choices. This not only enables CCMS to provide lesson materials, resources, and ongoing training sessions for all our volunteers but also allows the Character Coaches to reach students every week during the school year. CCMS receives no funds from the Government or the schools it serves.
Join us and help support our youth programs creating tomorrow's leaders, today!
